Working closely with business leaders and engineering managers (EMs), you will help align our technical vision with business goals and ensure a smooth pipeline from coding to deployment. The role is hands-on, requiring a mix of leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence.

We are looking for someone who has a strong engineering background, leadership skills, and a passion for fostering collaboration and trust within teams. You will be accountable for setting technical standards, addressing technical debt, mentoring teams, and ensuring the scalability and security of the product's architecture.     Oversee the end-to-end pipeline from coding to deployment. Ensure it is clear and updated so EMs can focus on their tasks.

Develop a technology roadmap for the teams ensuring scalability, reliability, redundancy and optimal performance.

Proactively identify and address technical debt to ensure long-term system health.

Lead and mentor EMs and engineers, helping them grow professionally and personally. Recruit, hire, and set clear performance expectations.

Foster a culture of operational excellence, ensuring all services are well monitored and aligned with defined SLIs/SLOs.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment between engineering and business teams.

Collaborate with tooling/infrastructure teams and ensure you have a solid understanding of DevOps processes, tooling, and infrastructure.

Drive and uphold engineering standards, ensuring continuous improvement and consistent quality.

To succeed in this role, we think you should have

At least 8 - 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong experience with backend technologies (experience with frontend is a plus).
Expertise in setting up and maintaining deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and managing tech debt.
Ability to drive alignment across engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with agile methodologies, sprint planning, and managing technical resources efficiently.
Proven track record in mentoring, performance management, and developing high-performing teams.
A BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
