Missing Taraba Boy Found at Mile 2, Lagos — Set to Return Home
A young boy who was reportedly kidnapped in Taraba State has been found hundreds of kilometers away in Lagos, sparking concern and calls for increased vigilance over child safety across the country.
According to a post shared on Facebook by a user identified as Yakubu Ali Nicodemus on Monday, May 5, 2025, the boy appeared at Mile 2 under bridge in Lagos State and recounted a troubling experience. He claimed he was abducted while returning from the farm last week in his hometown.
Yakubu, who encountered the boy early Monday morning, immediately took action to ensure the child’s safe return home. He has reportedly made arrangements for the boy to be transported back to Taraba State.
Further investigation into the boy’s identity has revealed more information. A man named Tanko Yerima identified the child as the son of Friday Okoro, an Igbo man, and his wife, who hails from Taraba. The boy is said to go by the name Daddy Friday and is from Tudun Baikan, a community located around the Mararaban Baisa axis.
In his Facebook post, Yakubu issued a heartfelt public appeal:

He said his name is Daddy Friday from Tudun Baikan around Mararaban Baisa axis. I have made arrangements for his return back to Taraba. Anyone who can identify him should contact me or Arc. Mono Bello. Let’s ensure that our kids are not left alone. Thank you!”
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the matter, but community leaders and locals are hopeful that the boy will soon be reunited with his family in Taraba.
