Ondo Amotekun Smashes Child Trafficking, Organ Harvesting Syndicate: Rescues Abducted Boy in 48 Hours

In a major security breakthrough that has sent shockwaves across Nigeria, the Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, has successfully uncovered and dismantled a heinous child trafficking and organ harvesting syndicate. The operation led to the dramatic rescue of a young boy, Eriponmile, who was kidnapped from his neighborhood in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

This incident, which has raised concerns among Nigerians about the growing threat of child abductions and organ trade, highlights the tireless work of Amotekun and the urgent need for heightened vigilance among parents and guardians.

Swift Action by Amotekun Corps: A 48-Hour Rescue Mission

According to the Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the Corps received a distress call from the Ijoka Davog area in Akure, where the kidnapping of Eriponmile had just taken place. Thanks to their rapid response and strategic deployment, the Corps was able to track and rescue the child within 48 hours.

“We received a distress call from the Ijoka Davog area that Eriponmile had been kidnapped and taken away, and we immediately swung into action,” Adeleye said.

“Within 48 hours, our indicators showed that Eriponmile was already outside Ondo State.”

The Amotekun operatives, working with intelligence and precision, spread out their dragnet and deployed plainclothes officers across multiple locations.

“We spread out our dragnet, deployed our plainclothes operatives, and by the grace of God, we were able to bring Eriponmile back to Ondo State to be reunited with his mother and father,” Adeleye continued.

Horrific Discovery: Boy Declared Fit for Organ Harvesting

The case took a dark and terrifying turn when investigators discovered that the kidnapped boy had been taken to a hospital in eastern Nigeria. There, medical personnel allegedly under the control of the syndicate had tested him and declared him “medically fit to be harvested.” This shocking revelation came as authorities closed in on a woman identified as Amaka, believed to be one of the kingpins of the gruesome operation.

"Along the line, we arrested the culprits — the suspected kidnappers — and discovered that this is a business they have been involved in for a long time.

"Many children have been kidnapped and used for ritual purposes and organ harvesting,” Adeleye revealed.

Arrested Suspects and Gruesome Confessions

The suspects arrested during the sting operation include Amaka, Ifeanyi, Adaeze, Etose, Omolara, and two other individuals who are currently on the run but being actively pursued by law enforcement.

In what can only be described as horrifying, several of the arrested individuals confessed to their roles in the child trafficking and organ harvesting ring. One of them, Adaeze Kenneth, a 20-year-old woman and daughter of the alleged ringleader Amaka Ngozi, shared details of how the operation began.

“I’m the first daughter of Amaka Ngozi. I’m a baker, and my shop is at Sijuade. Before this, a lady was pregnant and said she didn’t want the baby. She met with my mum, and they took the baby to Anambra State, saying someone needed the baby there.

“After they returned, they rented an apartment. Since then, I’ve distanced myself because when she was going, she asked me to follow her and I said no. I wasn’t rewarded with any money.”

Another suspect, Amaka Kenneth, aged 35, also confessed:

“I used to sell clothes before my husband died. I now take babies to a motherless babies’ home in Onitsha to sell for ₦500,000 per child. Myself, Tosin, and Mr. Adewale Olokungboye are the ones doing it."

In one of the most heartbreaking confessions, a woman admitted that she sold her own child to the syndicate:

“I gave them my own son — Jessica, Segun, and Ojo. I sold my one-year-old baby for ₦500,000. When they carried out the test on him, the woman said the child is AS, and they couldn’t use him because of his genotype. I don’t know the amount they eventually negotiated.”

Government and Family Respond

Following the successful rescue of young Eriponmile, his father, Eriseun Omolewo, a resident of Iju in Akure North Local Government Area, expressed immense gratitude to the Amotekun Corps and the Ondo State Government.

"We have been looking for my son since last Tuesday. We came to meet the government to help us in the search for my son,” he said.

"Today, to the glory of God, they called me that he has been found. I really appreciate the government of Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the great effort in ensuring my son was brought back.

“I also thank the men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun.”

Governor's Support and Continued Vigilance

Commander Adeleye praised the unflinching support of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, attributing much of the success of the operation to the governor’s commitment to public safety and his backing of Amotekun operations.

He also commended the Welfare Department of the Corps, which ensured Eriponmile received appropriate care upon his return.

“We want to thank the good people of Ondo State and reassure them of the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state,” Adeleye emphasized.

The Commander used the opportunity to call on Nigerian parents and guardians to be extra vigilant and proactive in monitoring their children’s whereabouts.

“I want to enjoin parents, once again, to keep an eye on the future of this country — our children."

He further stressed that timely response played a crucial role in the rescue of Eriponmile.

“Eriponmile’s swift rescue was made possible because his parents placed a distress call within 30 minutes of his disappearance,” he said.

Adeleye reminded the public of the Amotekun emergency number0807999989 — urging citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Conclusion: A Call to Action Against Child Trafficking in Nigeria

The dismantling of this criminal network by Amotekun has not only saved a life — it has also exposed the underbelly of a terrifying and growing criminal industry in Nigeria. The case of Eriponmile serves as both a warning and a lesson for all Nigerian communities: child traffickers and organ harvesters operate in the shadows, but they can be stopped with vigilance, intelligence, and unity.

The bravery of the Amotekun Corps, the swift action by the parents, and the coordination among various security stakeholders have demonstrated that evil can be defeated when good people act decisively.
