Pregnant Woman Found D3@d in Horrifying Mystery Along Uke-Ideani Road

 

A deeply troubling incident unfolded in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 6, 2025, when the lifeless body of a pregnant woman was discovered hanging from a cashew tree along the Uke-Ideani road in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain shrouded in mystery, with authorities unable to confirm whether she took her own life or was the victim of foul play. However, given the gruesome nature of the discovery, the suspicion of murder looms large, with many believing that the woman’s death may have occurred the night before, on Monday, May 5.

Local residents, disturbed by the tragic sight, quickly alerted the Ogidi Police Division. Responding swiftly to the call, police operatives arrived at the scene, carefully evacuated the body, and transported it to the mortuary for further examination.

The spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, issued a statement confirming the incident and calling for urgent assistance in solving the case. He revealed that the State Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has personally reached out to community leaders and stakeholders within the Idemili North Local Government Area to aid in the investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu FWC MNIPS PhD, today, 6th May 2025, called on stakeholders and community leaders of Idemili North to assist with information to unravel the perpetrators of the suspected murder of a pregnant lady found hanging on a cashew tree along Uke/Ideani road,” the statement read.

The CP went on to express his shock and condemnation, calling the incident a stark reminder of the cruelty that can occur within human society. He described the event as a tragic example of “man's inhumanity to man” and emphasized the importance of a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice.

“The CP described the incident as unfortunate and a stark example of 'man's inhumanity to man' and ordered a thorough investigation into the incident to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice,” the statement continued.

In light of this, the police are appealing to the public for any information that might help identify the woman. “To this end, the Command calls on members of the public to help identify the deceased, as Police Operatives from Ogidi Police Division have recovered the body and deposited it in the mortuary,” the statement concluded.
