Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Editor with a Master’s or PhD-level qualification to oversee the editorial process and uphold the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and consistency. This role is ideal for a meticulous editorial professional who is passionate about language, committed to excellence, and skilled in managing a team of editors and contributors.

Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the editorial team to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.
    Oversee the editorial process for manuscripts, including academic, research, and               general publications.
    Ensure all content meets house style, grammatical accuracy, and factual correctness.
    Provide detailed editorial feedback and developmental guidance to authors and editors.
    Collaborate with design, marketing, and production teams to align content with                publishing goals.
    Maintain and improve editorial standards, workflows, and documentation.
    Conduct final review and approval of materials before publication.
    Mentor junior editors and support professional development within the team.

Required Qualifications

    Master’s degree or PhD in English, Publishing, Communications, or a relevant field.
    5+ years of editorial experience, preferably in a leadership role.
    Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and style.
    Proven experience with academic or scholarly publishing is highly desirable.
    Strong organizational and project management skills.
    Keen attention to detail with a passion for precision and quality.
    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and editing software (e.g., Adobe                Acrobat, Microsoft Word with track changes, LaTeX, etc.).

Preferred Attributes

    Experience mentoring or managing editorial teams.
    Multilingual skills or experience working with international authors.
    Familiarity with citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
    Tech-savvy and comfortable working with digital tools and collaborative platforms.
