Residents of Doma Tafoki Ward, Faskari Local Government Area, Katsina State, gathered on Wednesday, February 3, 2026, to hold funeral prayers for over 20 community members killed in a deadly bandit assault.
The attack, allegedly carried out by armed gangs loyal to notorious bandit Isiya Kwashen Garwa, left homes and vehicles, including a Golf 3, torched, and many others injured.

During the funeral prayers, community leaders and clerics remembered the victims as innocent civilians who lost their lives to senseless violence. They prayed for mercy, hoping that the slain would be accepted as martyrs by Almighty Allah.
