BREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap Passengers from 18-Seater Bus in Kogi State

 

Tragedy struck in Kogi East Senatorial District as gunmen intercepted an 18-seater bus and abducted everyone on board along the Itobe/Ochadamu road.

The incident reportedly happened around 5pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

According to sources, the vehicle — a fully loaded Toyota Hummer bus with registration number LAM 979 LG — was hijacked at Ajegwu, just before Ochadamu. All the passengers were forcefully taken into the bush by the armed men.

Reacting to the incident, the spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, SP William Aya, said:

“The command is still compiling information from the DPO in charge of the area.”
