Lagos Police Arrest Man with Human Organs in Epe for Ritual Purposes
Operatives from the Odo-Noforija Division have arrested 25-year-old Samson Oghenebreme in Odomola, Epe, for possessing human organs. The arrest occurred on April 25, 2025, following credible information from local residents about the suspect's suspicious activities.
Initial investigations revealed that Oghenebreme was transporting the organs from Edo State to a local native doctor for alleged money-making rituals.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest, stating that the recovered human organs have been safely stored at the General Hospital in Epe for preservation. The case has been handed over to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, praised the swift action of the police operatives and the vigilance of the Odomola community. He highlighted the crucial role of timely information from the public in the quick capture of the suspect.
CP Jimoh urged all Lagos residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station. He reassured the public of the police force’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the state.
