Tragedy in Kano: Newlywed Bride Allegedly K!lls Husband Just 9 Days After Wedding

 

A newlywed bride identified as Saudat has been arrested by security operatives in Kano State for allegedly st@bbing her husband, Salisu, to de@th — just nine days after their wedding.

According to Leadership Newspaper, the shocking incident happened in Farawa community, Kano, barely over a week after the couple tied the knot on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Sources revealed that the marriage was arranged by their families, but the couple reportedly lacked emotional connection. It's said that the late Salisu had expressed concerns about the marriage from the beginning but was pressured by relatives to go ahead with it.

While the exact cause of the deadly altercation remains unclear, residents of the area claim that Saudat may have poisoned her husband before fatally attacking him during a heated argument.

Chaos erupted in the community following the news, with angry youths attempting to take matters into their own hands. However, quick action by security officials helped prevent mob justice, and the suspect was safely taken into custody.

As of now, the Kano State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident
