Tragedy in Zamfara: Retired Teacher K!lled, Wife and Two Others Abducted by Suspected Bandits

 

Suspected bandits have killed a retired teacher, Mallam Kabiru, and kidnapped three women — including his wife — during a late-night attack on the staff quarters of Government Secondary School, Tsafe, in Zamfara State.

The incident happened on Saturday night, and the Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the attack.

Speaking to newsmen, police spokesperson DSP Yazid Abubakar said the attackers invaded the school premises with the aim of abducting Mallam Kabiru.

“They wanted to abduct him, but he resisted. That was when he was shot. His wife and two others were later taken away,” he explained.

DSP Abubakar also revealed that security forces are already on the move to rescue the victims.

“Troops have been mobilised and are on the trail of the kidnappers. I assure you that the victims will be rescued unharmed,” he added.

Authorities say efforts are ongoing to track down the criminals and ensure the safe return of those kidnapped.
