Troops Eliminate Suspected ISWAP Informant in Borno Ambush Operation

 

Troops under Sector 3 of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and Operation Hadin Kai have successfully neutralised a suspected informant working for ISWAP during an ambush in Karagawaru, located in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to a report by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the operation took place in the early hours of Friday as part of the ongoing military campaign, Operation Desert Sanity IV. The mission was carried out by soldiers from the 29 Task Force Brigade.

A military source revealed that the troops had positioned themselves at a suspected crossing route. Around 12:30 a.m., they spotted the suspect and engaged.

“Troops neutralised one suspected Boko Haram informant and recovered one locally fabricated Dane gun and a bicycle used by the suspect,” the source stated.

Thankfully, the operation ended without any casualties, and the troops returned to base safely at about 3:40 a.m.
